You can probably tell that i've been very MIA for a few months, a lot of stuff has been happening in the haus of ANNIEOF4. Scary big news as well is that I started a youtube channel as well. Probably one of the scarier things i've ever done. Which I have also been keeping a secret, well, until now. Hopefully no one I know reads this. ...Pls. I also named my channel something different to my blog, so there may be a possible change in blog name, exciting. I think it's hard getting over the sound of your own voice, that was the worst part, I don't know how people hang around with me if that's my voice. Anyway, I've only uploaded two videos so far and the first one was kind of a tester video. So I hope you like them if you watch them at all, and subscribe if you do. Best wishes!

HAPPY NOVEMBER!
Sorry for no halloween posts! :-( 2nd year of uni actually means doing work apparently. Anyway, happy November! This means i'm already getting excited for christmas and planning decorating. Anyway, being the jobless bum/student that I am now, i've been trying to figure out how to do some beauty things on a budget. To start with, I've always wanted really curly hair. I couldnt afford (/didnt want to have to buy) a fancy curling wand or roller things so i've been figuring out how to go about it another way. ..and it came out much curlier than anticipated. And I kinda liked it.
This is my first time trying to do this and despite a couple of frizzy sections, I thought it was kinda cool. The hair towards to front went quite short so I let them fall down my face creating a sort-of fringe thing. These photos were taken after a very windy day in London so it was much curlier before, but I liked it messed up too. If you wanted to know how to do this, I will write some instructions as had great difficulty photographing.
1)Start with damp hair, easy!
2)Take a 1 inch size section and start just twisting it round until you get to the end and cant twist it round anymore
3)Take the twisted hair and roll it round your finger towards your head
4)Carefully pull your finger out of the twist and pin it to your head as tight as possible
5)Repeat until you've done all of your hair!
6)Leave for a few hours and set with a hairdryer to speed up, or just sleep on it like I did :-)
Time to clean the mirror? |
Lipstick is MAC Russian Red, Top is Topman and Riding Pants are American Apparel.
Hope you liked this post!
See you soon!

RECREATION OF LISA ELDRIDGE'S CARA DELEVINGNE W MAGAZINE PARTY LOOK
Hey! I recently watched Lisa Eldridge's video in which she recreated the look she did on Cara Delevingne, and I absolutely loved it! I'm never normally a huge fan of metallic eye shadows but I loved this silver eye look and decided to recreate it using the products I had here and this is what I came up with :-)
Ha, okay, bear with me a sec. I've just moved flat and i'm still trying to work out the best lighting so apologies for crappy images. Anyway, for my base I used NARS Sheer Glow and I just worked that in with my fingers as I wanted quite a natural base. I used MAC's Studio Finish concealer over my birthmark and set just the concealer with Rimmel Stay Matte powder. I only powdered the concealer as I wanted the glow from the foundation to show through.
I used a bit of MAC Omega eyeshadow on my brows and just combed them through after. I then used my Naked 2 palette and used the colour Verve all over the lid on a flat shadow brush. Then taking a fluffy brush, I used Pistol from the palette and worked that through the outer corner. (it's hard to see from the flash, sorry!) I used Maybellines Gel Liner in black and took it really close to the lashline and winged it out slightly at the outer corner.
I tightlined my eye with the black, and then did a subtle double wing from the bottom lashline as that's what Cara looked like she had in the photo. Lisa didn't do this in her tutorial, but I added it in anyway. I curled my lashes and added mascara to my top and bottom lashes, for this I used Eyeko skinny brush mascara.

To finish the look, I contoured using Sleek's contour powder in the lightest shade and I also added a touch of Elizabeth Arden's 8 hour cream to the top of my cheekbones for highlight. I added a small amount of lip balm as well as I didn't have a good neutral for this look (boo).
To finish the look, I parted my hair to the side and created a small side plait and just pinned it back. And bam! Finished. I hope you enjoyed this post of me recreating a tutorial from Lisa (first name basis) with stuff you probably have around in your makeup bag! And I'll see you next time with exciting halloween posts!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BYE
I dyed my hair too, did you notice?

Hi!
Hello, I am back after a long while since my laptop has completely blue screen of death'd on me. Since my last post I have moved back to London so my new pictures will have a different background and hopefully I can take some photos of my new flat or London for you. The photos in this post are from a while ago from when I was back home but couldn't upload :-(
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this look!
Firstly, I did what I usually do, added some Vichy Dermablend through the centre of my face, concealed my birthmark with MAC Studio Finish, highlighted with YSL Touche Eclat and powdered with Rimmel's Stay Matte. I can't remember if I mentioned, but i'm looking for a new powder so feel free to recommend!
OK, straight onto the eyes, I used my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and took Half Baked all over the lid, I then swept Chopper through my outer corner to add some warmth and finally Bootycall in the inner corner.
I used my Maybelline Gel eyeliner in the colour Black to create a winged out eye liner and I just did this using a fine liner brush, I then set it by taking a matte black eye shadow on an angled brush.
Finally, I added a couple of coats of my Eyeko skinny brush mascara to my top and bottom lashes and then my Rimmel black eyeliner pencil to my waterline.
Finally I added a touch of my Sleek contour kit colour as a bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks and then used my Bourjois red lipstick in the colour 10 to my lips.
I hope you liked this look! And thank you to those who follow my blog and read these scattered posts. I have a few Halloween looks lined up as it's one of my favourite holidays which i'm really excited to create and upload for!!!!!!! Let me know if there's anything you want to see. And I hope you're all having a good autumn!
p.s also I've dyed my hair since then!

SUMMER ADVENTURE
Ok, ok, I know, I'm crap at remembering to actually upload, I'm a bad person. But i'm back with a special long(er) post today to satisfy your needs until the next millennium. (just kidding, hopefully). So the other day I went to do some shopping in town and thought I would photograph my makeup and outfit for you. Let's go!
Okkkkkk, so firstly I cleansed my face using my Vichy One Step Cleanser, because I like it and I like it because it's good, shit's simple. Not only is it tested under dermatological control, but also ophthalmological, which I think is mint because I get particular about eye products what with only having one to hand. I then went ahead and toned my skin, for this I use the Dr Jart Tight Effect Toner, which is good if you get oily skin in the summer, which I seem to be doing, as its oil controlling, with sebum absorbing powder so you have to give it a shake and I just wipe that on with a cotton wool pad. And this toner actually feels good, normally I dont notice anything, but I like this stuff! Cool, so next, I moisturize with my usual La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo. Then finally protect my skin with SPF and I use the La Roche Posay one with SPF 30, I use this every day, even if its cloudy as sun damage is the main cause of aging (NO) ((look, sneaky skincare routine))
Thank you if you soldiered on to the end of this novel. I hoped you liked reading it and I will be back sometime with other makeup stuff! Feel free to leave any requests as I would love to do them and bye!

Firstly, I took a small amount of my Vichy Dermablend on my Real Techniques expert face brush and only applied this to the centre of my face as thats where I get the most redness. I also concealed my birthmark using my MAC Studio Finish Concealer.
For my contouring/bronzing, I didnt want to have to use powder bronzer, so I mixed a small amount of my Bourjois Bronzing Primer with my foundation and applied this to the outer of my face, this helped create a shadow around my jaw and under my cheekbones. To highlight I used YSL Touche Eclat to the high points of my face, this helped give my face a lot more dimension and glow.
For my eyebrows I've been trying out this Collection brow crayon in the shade Blonde, i've only bought it recently to try out so I will update you to see how I like it.
For my eyeshadow, I kept things pretty simple and stuck to my Naked 2 Palette, I used Foxy, which is the lightest matte colour and took it all over the lid to the brow bone, then just added a small amount of Tease, which is the dark greyish mauve, to the socket line. For liner I tried something which I dont usually do (except from when I was 12) and used black pencil, this is a Rimmel one, and tight lined my top and bottom waterline, I then smudged a small amount across the top lashes. I applied Deigo Dalla Palma mascara to curled lashes andddd thats the eyes done!
Finally, I powdered the areas I concealed and then through the centre of my face with my Rimmel Stay Matte powder. And I'm actually going to fess up and say that I did start off by loving this powder but recently I've noticed that it does wear off fairly quickly and can sometimes look a little cakey and i'm not a fan of the talc in it, but it is cheap. Swings and round-a-bouts. I finished the make up of with a bit of my Clinique Chubby Stick in Whoppin Watermelon.
For my outfit, I decided to go for my Levi cut off shorts, pared with this over sized breton top from Topshop, with a belt which is supposed to be a waist belt, but the smallest size was too big for me, so I made an extra hole and just wore it slouchy. It's really a cool black belt with small aztec symbols and animals around the back. The neon green/yellow jacket is also from Topshop (could you tell I had some vouchers?), I thought it was real cool, but my sister said it looked like a high-vis jacket. (prepare for some fashhhunnn photos)
For my shoes I wore my red leather boots from Kurt Geiger, which I absolutely love, they've got a cool creeper style sole to them as well and I wear them all the time!

SUMMER FACE
Hey! So it's actually summer now, so I thought I would create a summer sun inspired eye make up look.
So to start off with I used my Vichy dermablend mixed in with my La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF 30 just to create a more sheer effect and sun protection in super important during summer so don't skip it! And as usual I used my MAC studio finish concealer in NC20, I went a shade darker for summer (oo). And I haven't powdered yet because I just wanted it all to set into the skin and be able to correct it if any eyeshadow fell down.
For my eyebrows I used what I usually do which is MAC's Omega eyeshadow on an angled brush. To help my eyeshadow hold better, I used Maybelline's 24 hour colour tattoo in Permanent Taupe and over the top of that I used a wash of MAC Woodwinked . Blended into the outer corner I used MAC Sable and used MAC Nylon as an inner corner highlight. I took a fluffy brush to ensure these were all blended together real nice :-)
I ran a thin line of Maybelline's Gel liner in black across my lashline just to hide the spine of my false lashes. The lashes i'm wearing are the Eylure Natural's (I think, they come in different packaging to the usual and look super natural). I topped it off with Eyeko skinny brush mascara.
Okayyyyyyy, so for under eye concealer I used the Collection's lasting perfection concealer and then set everything in place with Rimmel Stay Matte powder. For the cheeks I used Rimmel's blush in Santa Rose and didnt apply any bronzer or contour as I didnt want it to look too heavy. For the lips I used Clinique chubby stick in Whoppin' Watermelon.

PINK
Hello! I've finally got one day off from hayfever so today means pink. I've been planning some summer looks to show you so here is a quick bright lip to start with, i'm looking to create some celebrity looks and am excited to write up about these. I thought I would give you an update of whats been happening recently 1) laptop returned from the doctors 2) photo editing software is missing ((why??)) 3) I made a youtube video this week (...did not upload it, had crazy eye moment and no).
So, THIS!
1) For summer I have been loving the bourjois bronzing primer and have been using this over the high points of my face where the sun would naturally hit. I've been wanting to wear less foundation for summer so I used a small amount of the bronzing primer with just some MAC studio concealer and a tiny bit of Rimmel Wake me up foundation. I wear the lightest colour in this foundation and it's still a little dark for me, so if you're any paler than me, then I wouldn't advise!
2) For the eyes I wanted to keep things fairly neutral but still golden and summery, for this I stuck to my naked 2 palette and used bootycall on the first half, half baked on the second half of the eye, ensuring both the colours are blended together. I used a small amount of sable through the socket line with a small amount of blackout blended softly across the lashline. I then coated the top lashes in eyeko skinny brush mascara and a tiny amount on the bottom lashes as I wanted most the lash action to be on top.
So this is the quick and easy summer look, perfect for if you're in a rush and wanted to create something super easy but eye catching. I'll talk to you soon, hoping to upload a new post every week! :-)
