SUMMER FAVOURITES

Hello! I created a slightly different post from usual today for a few reasons 1) It's currently summer(ish) and I suffer from the w o r s t hayfever, and bloodshot eyes is not what anyone wants to see. 2) I have also been contemplating broadening my make up tutorials into videos on YouTube (AHH) D:   (( but undecided because i'm a massive girl)) 3) I have been loving these things and want to share them :-) Okayyy go!

1) For summer I have been loving this pale pink blush from Rimmel, it's their lasting finish blush in the colour Santa Rose. I think it looks very pretty and natural on the cheek and perfect for this season!

2) The next make up product I have been really enjoying is the Eyeko Skinny Brush Mascara, I really like the formula of this as it lasts all day without flaking or smudging. However I think I would opt for the volumizing one next time round as I already have quite long lashes and am partial to voluminous lashes (who isn't?)
3) I love highlighting the inner corner of my eyes all year round, but I like to go especially bright in summer, it makes you look so bright eyed and awake! I have been loving using Nylon from MAC for this recently! Its a  frosty white with a yellow tone.

4) I was in Boots the other day when I found this brush from No7, the brush head is amazing for blending (and very similar to the famous 217!), the natural hairs make it super soft and i'm a big fan! The only downside is that the handle is a little short, but I don't mind as it means it will fit easily into a make up bag!
5) My go to perfume all year round is without a doubt Chanel Chance and I use this r e l i g i o u s l y. However, for summer this year I have been looking for something a little lighter and after loving the scent from Sanctuary Spa products for ages, I knew that when I saw the body spray I WANTED it. I love the freshness of the citrus in it but the patchouli and sandalwood keep it quite musky which I love!
6) These are a few fashion favorites I've been loving, naturally, the Topshop Mom jeans are included. The fit of these jeans are so flattering and comfortable and as British summer is often filled with clouds and rain, a pair of jeans are essential. I have also been loving this cream blazer from Topshop, you can dress it up or down so easily and is great for summer as i'm trying to steer away from wearing black!
7) These are actually my first pair of Clarks shoes since I was 8 years old and i'm in love with them! I'm a sucker for garish coloured shoes as I tend to go for not too busy outfits and brighten everything up with cool shoes and these patent leather cobalt blue desert boots are perfect for just that. :-)

8) For my accessories I have been loving these silver midi rings from ASOS Market Place and my Vivienne Westwood silver pink belt ring. I have also been loving this emerald green nail polish from Revlon in the colour Posh!
9) Finally, I love on-ear headphones, I think they're great for long train journeys or just getting the bus or tube, these are my Marshall Majors!

Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed a few summer favourites! Some more blah blah blah here: unfortunately my poor laptop has had a serious meltdown and is being picked up tomorrow for repair and wont be with me again for about 4 weeks, but hopefully should be able to borrow my sisters to update here! (like i'm doing now, thanks sis!) Anyway, yes, BYE!

LANA DEL REY 60'S INSPIRED LOOK

Hey! I love a dramatic eye-liner look as much as the next guy which is why I was inspired to do this look often worn by Lana Del Rey! :-)
So here is my ((extremely hot)) blank canvas. yeyyyyyy
As always for my foundation I used NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, MAC Concealer and Rimmel Stay Matte Powder on a Real Techniques expert face brush.

This is actually a very bad photo representation of the shadow on this lid...sorry, but I used Foxy from the Naked 2 palette all over the lid and used MAC Omega and Tease from the Naked 2 palette through the socket line.
I used Maybelline's Gel Eyeliner in 01 Black on a fine liner brush to create a dramatic winged out eye liner and Black Out from the Naked 2 palette under the lower lashline.
For the lips I used Nude in a No7 lip pencil with a Natural Collection lipgloss over the top in Caramel Shortcake. Lana sometimes wears a bold red lip but I opted for the natural lip colour she often wears :-)
For contour I used the Sleek contour kit and kept it simple with no blush.

And cha-dahhhhhhhh, sorry this seems like quite a quick post but I really wanted to put something up while I go shopping for some more makeup to create some looks i've got lined up :-) yey. Thank you for reading!

LILY COLE VOGUE RUSSIA 2012 INSPIRED MAKEUP

Hey! I'd like to introduce you all to my sister, Phil! Seeing as she has a similar look to Lily Cole (you can tell we look nothing alike) I thought I would do this amazing look from Russian Vogue last year with dark gold smokey eyes and a deep red to light red lip :-)
To start with I did her foundation base using Revlon Photo Ready Primer, Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, MAC Studio Finish Concealer and Chanel Poudre Universelle. To create a flawless finish, I used the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.
I used Omega by MAC to fill in her brows wherever they were sparse and lengthen them a bit.
For the eyes, I used SEVENTEEN Wild Metallic Cream Eyeshadow in the colour Wild Nude. Over the centre of the lid I used Wood-winked by MAC and to define the outer corner and make it a bit more smokey I used a grey from a Sleek palette. I used Maybelline Gel Eyeliner in 01 Black across the lashline and used an angled brush to blend it out.

Under the eyes, I used the gel eyeliner again close to the lashline and blended it out to create this smokey look, I also added it to the inside waterline. I used Booty Call from the Naked 2 Palette to highlight the inner corner. I also used Max Factor's False Lash Effect mascara on her lashes.
For the lips, I used Rimmel's Exaggerate Lip Liner 04 Red Diva to line her lips, I then added Bourjois Red Edition lipstick in 10. Lily Cole had a darker reddy purple around the outside, for this I used Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick 128 Starry-Eyed.
For blush I used Bourjois Cream Blush 02.

I hope you liked this look :-) Thank you to my wonderful sister for allowing me to do her makeup and post it here! Thank you for reading! Bye from me and Phil!

CARA DELEVINGNE LOVE MAGAZINE INSPIRED MAKEUP

I absolutely love the make up created on Cara Delevingne for the cover of LOVE magazine and I thought I would show the products I used to create my own interpretation of it. I did this while battling against the sun going down so the flash on my camera is very unforgiving and doesn't demonstrate the make up too well! Sorry!!!!!!!

01. For my skin I started with a primer to create a base for my foundation, for this I used the
Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer, Cara's skin looks flawless and dewy in the photo so I used
Rimmel Wake Me Up Make Up Foundation which gives a bright glowing finish. As always for concealer I used MAC Studio Finish Concealer, and Rimmel Stay Matte Powder over the concealer and T-zone.

02. Naturally for a Cara Delevingne look, the brows had to be done (which make me look formidably grumpy in this image). For this I used an angled brush to fill them in with MAC Omega eyeshadow as well as using a dark brown from a Sleek palette. I brushed my brows up to keep them looking as natural as possible.

03. For the top lid colour I used MAC Satin Taupe and lightly washed this over the whole lid and winged it upwards towards the outer corner.

04. I used Maybelline Gel Eyeliner in brown to create a winged eyeliner, I chose this as it's quite a red toned brown which compliments the under eye colour and looks more true to the original than black.

05. I combined MAC Sable and MAC Cranberry together and blended this under the eye, I also added a little of the brown I used through my brows to make this a bit darker, I blended this out and up to follow the wing of the eyeliner and Satin Taupe.

06. I took L'Oréal's Contour Khól in the colour 164 Chrome Brown along my bottom waterline and then added Diego Dalla Palma Mascara Trasformista. I also added Bootycall from the Naked 2 Palette to highlight the inner corner!

07. For the lips I used Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in 10 and used Natural Collection's Tinted Lip Balm in the colour Passionfruit Punch to give it a super glossy effect like the photo. (by this point I was relying on the flash on my camera, making me quite pale looking)

08. For contour I used Bourjois Bronzing Primer, which is unfortunately drowned out a little from the flash :-( I used YSL Touche Éclat to highlight the tops of my cheeks as well as down the centre of my nose.

Annndnddddd that's pretty much it! I hope you enjoyed reading this, I'm still working on the layout and photography and everything so please forgive me while I do! The colour on my nails is the colour Posh from Revlon, and my midi-rings are from ASOS market place. Thank you for reading! :-D
